City-based Corporation Bank had launched an app for iPad and Android. The Bank recently had come out with a special mobile banking app through Android and iOS. This app can be downloaded free from app store for iOS and Google Play for Android phones and tablets. The bank is one of the first public sector banks to introduce transaction-based banking in tablet PCs and iPads.
Ajai Kumar, chairman and managing director of the bank said the account holder can access various facilities/services through the app using net banking user ID and password. The accountholder can check current balance of all his linked running accounts including details of last ten transactions. Funds can be transferred to own accounts, third party accounts maintained at Corporation Bank and even other banks using National Electronic Funds Transfer.
Payments can also be made through immediate payment service to beneficiaries who have got mobile money identifier (MMID) of the bank or any other Bank by way of person to person using beneficiary's MMID and mobile number as well, through person to account using beneficiary's account number and IFSC code. For availing IMPS facility, customer should register for SMS Banking with the Bank, Ajai said announcing these new initiatives here.
To give a fillip to agriculture credit growth, the Bank will be conducting rural expos across the country in May. The Bank has 31 zones across the country and each zone will be conducting a minimum of 10 such expos. Through this initiative, the Bank plans to create village level awareness on various products and services offered by it with a festive ambience to facilitate easy acceptance. Various social welfare activities will also form part of the expo, he said.
