Google Nexus 5 colour options, launch date leaked

Press shots of Google's Nexus 5 smartphone have leaked online, showing multiple colour options and revealing its launch date.

Twitter user
EVLeaks, which has leaked images of several gadgets in the past, has released an image of the black and white model of Google's next flagship smartphone, along with the alleged launch date for the device. Several images of the Nexus 5 have been leaked on the internet previously.

Earlier,
Google accidentally listed the device on the Play Store, along with its pricing.

The Nexus 5 was rumoured to be launched on October 28, but recent reports have pointed out that the launch has been postponed till November. A November 1 launch date would mean that the unveiling of Nexus 5 would clash with the launch of the new iPads. Apple will also launch the
iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in India on the same day.

The LG made Nexus 5 smartphone, codenamed Hammerhead, would reportedly have a 2.3GHz Quad-core processor complemented by an Adreno 330 graphics processor. Its 5-inch display will have 1920x1080p resolution, with on-screen
resolution being 1794x1080p. It is expected to have a 13 MP rear camera and 2GB RAM.

Google's latest
Android 4.4 KitKat OS is also slated for a joint release along with the Nexus 5.

Reports about the Android KitKat have said it would have a totally new design and user interface. Apart from having its own printing options, the new OS would also have a new wireless NFC payment system within its Settings. It would also have the option to save images as PDF files on the device.

Some reports have stated that Google Now will have the 'always-on' functionality of Moto X in Android 4.4 and could accept commands in several languages, not just English. Android 4.4 might also introduce SMS function to Google Hangouts app. Android 4.4 KitKat will come with pre-loaded apps like Google Drive and Google Keep.

There is also speculation that Google will also unveil the
Nexus 10 tablet alongside the Nexus 5 and Android KitKat. This tablet is rumoured to be manufactured by Asus this year, instead of Samsung which had made last year's model, and is likely to have a full HD screen, Tegra 4 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. A leaked image of the device suggests that it will look similar to the Nexus 7, with sharper edges than last year's model.

Google is also expected to launch the 4G-enabled Nexus 4 smartphone at the same event.
